US natural gas production forecast to hit record in 2026

U.S. marketed natural gas production is projected to average 122.5 billion cubic feet per day in 2026, exceeding the previous record of 118.5 Bcf/d set in 2025, according to the Energy Information Administration's August Short-Term Energy Outlook.
