Editorial policy

GridDigest aims to be a fast, accurate and fair guide to electricity-sector news. These standards govern everything we publish.

Sourcing & attribution

The bulk of our coverage is aggregation: we display a headline and a short summary and link directly to the original publisher, who receives the click and the credit. We store only the headline, summary and link — never the article body. Sources can request opt-out at any time and are removed from all rendered output on the next build.

Original synthesis

For major stories we publish original, staff-written synthesis that combines several source reports in our own words and structure. Every synthesized article carries a named byline, a datestamp, a list of the sources it draws on, and a one-line note on how it was produced. We require at least three independent sources before synthesizing, and we use only facts present in those sources — we do not invent figures, quotes or events.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to help cluster duplicate reports, draft summaries and synthesize articles. All AI-assisted output is produced from the cited sources and is subject to editorial standards and human oversight. We disclose this because transparency about how the work is made is part of being trustworthy.

Market data

Day-ahead prices are sourced from the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform (CC-BY 4.0). We publish only open, freely-reusable data and never re-publish restricted exchange or member-only price feeds. Prices are indicative wholesale values shown in each zone's local delivery time, and are not an offer to trade.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. To report an error or request a correction, email desk@griddigest.com. Substantive corrections to a synthesized article are noted on the article.

Independence

GridDigest is editorially independent. Commercial relationships, where they exist, never determine what we cover or how we cover it.
